Well, 1st leg of the trip down! Home to Roma! Easy 6.5hr drive today.

Many small towns along the way, each unique in its own way. The roads were fine, and more surprisingly, phone coverage was pretty good all the way. Lunch at Chinchilla with a fuel stop broke the journey, you know, healthy meat pies and chips! Rolled into Roma around 3:30pm fresh as daisies. Booked into the Villa Tourist Park, dropped off the van and headed into town to view some sights. First up, Roma's Largest Bottle Tree, followed by the the restored Courthouse, and the Sunset Show at the Big Reg Rig, which was a well worth it trip down memory lane, a must do in Roma. Next stop, Carnarvon Gorge, 3.5 hrs up the road.
