Day 11 - Elliott Heads, here we come!

Shame to leave Kinka Beach, but all good things etc etc......
Woke up to rain for the first time on the trip, so packing up in the wet was no fun - well, it was actually a change from the heat & dust of Longreach! A few showers were ahead for the run down the highway to Bundy, interspersed with bloody roadworks! We turned off at Miriam Vale and headed for Bundy. Following the plan, we went to the Rum Distillery to stock up on much needed supplies! Checked out Bargara for a few minutes, then headed for Elliott Heads 15Km south, checking in at 3:30pm. Took longer to fill out the COVID paperwork than the drive from Bargara!
Weather not crash hot, with wind and rain - glad to set up for our last night. Didn't even put the awning out - too windy & wet! We retreated to the inside cracking a bottle of champers we had saved for the last night on the road. A toasted sanger and a rum or two to warm up, before streaming Stan for one of us and the footy for the other - I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which!
Heading home tomorrow......
