Day 3 - First Bush Walks!

Had breaky and headed off for the first walks to views of the Gorge. Parked up at Mickey’s Creek car park and headed off for the 1.5Km return walk to the views of the escarpments. Great views and a safe walk. Following Mickey’s Creek, followed another fork in the track to Boolimba Gorge, and well worth the walk in. Sign said 'end of formed track', but went in another 100m and that’s where the stunning views were.
Back to the car park and off to the Rock Pool, a short 300m walk to another great view of freshwater pools and rock formations. Back from the Rock Pool, we head back to camp for a well earned rest and cocktail hour.
We were joined by a local four legged furry friend who kept us company for a while then curled up under the van for a snooze!
We had a taste of what to expect next, or so we thought………..
